
Tracy P. has offered to host our first hill session. She is a little further out from most of us, but still only 10 minutes from the Harris Teeter. Her neighborhood is near the Smith's Red and White. We ran a few workouts there last year that went well. Although it will be hot, I think afternoons would be best for these workouts. One reason is you can leave your fluids at the bottom of the hill, so you are never more than five minutes from a drink if needed. If the group is interested, we could do them in the morning, but I know many of us already have Wednesday morning runs, and might not be able to go two mornings in a row.
So, tomorrow the hill workouts begin. Please reply ASAP if you plan to come. Times are negotiable, but for now, plan for 6:30 p.m. If you can't make this time but want to participate, make some suggestions. We want this to work for as many people as possible. Planned schedule:
- 15 minute Warm up
- 4-6 Hill repeats (85% effort with a slow jog down the hill)
- 10-15 minute cool down
Count me in. 6:30 is fine.

ReplyDeleteI'm afraid that I won't be able to attend. I will have to work late and in the name of marital bliss I will instead fix supper before the wife gets home. Next Thursday is ok and I'll see you Saturday.
