RMEC gets ready to race!

It is a big weekend for the RMEC. To start with, Russ Hinesly is back in Indianapolis for another running of the 500 Festival Mini-Marathon. This race is an old favorite for Russ and he looks to do very well this weekend. Good luck Russ!

The larger group of RMEC runners will be at White Lake this weekend. On Saturday, Cliff Amos, Dave Lavely, Jeff Miller, Jason Irvin, and Mary Whitwell all return for the Half Ironman distance. For these who do not know, this is a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and a half marathon run. . . a true test of strength and endurance. Also on Saturday the RMEC will have an impressive relay team. Mary's daughter will begin with the swim portion, and then Kinnie Pruden will take over on the bike. Tracy Proctor will be the anchor leg, running the half marathon. No doubt, a very strong team!

On Sunday, White Lake does it all over again for the Sprint Distance. This is a 750m swim, a 14 mile bikes, and a 5k run. Ryan Bullard, Michael Forrester, Ursula Forrester, Tracy Hicks, Kinnie, Eric Seale, and Jeannie Standal will take on this event. Yes, Kinnie is racing both days. . . She just cant get enough. Team Miller will be in full effect as well, as Patti and Jeff team up for a two person relay in the event.

This should be a fun trip for everybody, and I am sure there will be some stories to share when we get back. Good luck everyone!
