It took a while to do a race report for the Blooming Festival this past weekend. The main reason is that I was waiting on the results. Now that they are out, I will give a very brief recap. There were 73 runners in this inaugural event, and by my estimate the RMEC accounted for 26% of the total partisans. Wow! What a way to make an impression. It was a nice 5k, that I expect will improve in the future. Because of the small race size, and the large number of age group categories, we had too many awards to list. There were also several PRs set.

The one highlight I would like to point out is the youth who ran the race. Lot's of very young children took on the 3.1 mile challenge and did great. In the under eight category, there was a RMEC sweep. Taking first was McKenzie Proctor with a time of 33:43; in second was Kayla Miller with a time of 34:22; and in third was Caroline Forrester with a time of 37:45. Great job girls!
I will be updating our results page this weekend to reflect everyone times. For now, here are the
