RUN RSVP: Saturday 11/24

You can't slow down now! You all have a half marathon just two weeks away. Don't get lazy. Come out and run with the group. I have selected a 9 mile route for this weekend. I know some of you may do more, but if you are running the First Carolina State Bank Half, you should at least be doing nine. This is the distance that was planned based on the Hal Higdon Training Plan. If you want to do more, add on after getting a drink at the Teeter.

Run Details:

  • Day: Saturday @ 8:30 a.m.
  • Where: Harris Teeter
  • Route: 9 miles
  • Supported: No - Only a water fountain near mile 3.
  • Weather: Forecast
This route is different than what we normally do, but was well liked the one time we ran it. Be sure to bring the written directions if you are not familiar with the route. Also be careful on the short stretch of Old Mill and Bethlehem.

If a small group ends up running, someone is welcome to shove fluids in my mailbox (mile 5.5). I will not be able to run Saturday morning.

I did start this run at 8:30 am. I figure for a holiday weekend we cool weather, more people may show up if they get 30 extra minutes of sleep. Remember, next week we will have a group run on the half marathon course. Tell a friend!

I plan to be there. I will probably add 3 to the end for a total of 12.
