As you are aware, we have delayed our "unofficial Chase race", but we will still have our normal 7:30 am Saturday run however. This run will begin with the 5k Battlepark loop from the YMCA. It will finish there as well. This will give people a chance to still record a 5k. After that, I have an additional 8.75 mile route for those who are going a longer distance. This route takes in most of the Chase roads. Run Details:
- Day: Saturday @ 7:30 am
- Where: Harrison Family YMCA
- Route: Part 1 and Part 2
- Supported: TBD - There are fountains
- Weather: Forecast (52F at 8:00 and 50F at 10:00)
Come out and see how well you can run a 5k. You may surprise yourself. After that stay on the roads and get a few more miles. I am not sure if I can get fluids out or not. Ursula is racing on Saturday, so I have kid duty. I hope to be at the YMCA with Gatorade when you start, and after the first 5k, you can rehydrate. There are fountains in the park as well.Spring has sprung. . . time to lace up your shoes and get back on the roads! Post a comment if you are joining us!
I'll be there @ 7:30.
ReplyDeleteI plan to be there for the combined 11.9

I plan on being there (way behind) to make everyone feel better about themselves! ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like I will be there for the start/finish of the 5k portion, but will doubtfully run.
ReplyDeleteThe Y childcare opens at 8:00, so I will have the two of them from 7:30-8:00. I would start running at 8:00, but I need to get Henry to soccer at 9:30.
So put me down as the offical starter of the run. I am hoping more people show up to join in.
Planning to run

i am running and probably going the full, depending on how some of my aches feel. did any of you hear about the "north carolina marathon" in greensboro may 3?

Not to worry Michael - I'll start at 7:30, you at 8...and you will finish the 5 k before me!
ReplyDeleteI'll be there @ 7:30--hopefully, for the whole enchilada. Nursing a minor injury but should be able to complete it--won't set any land speed records though.
