
These are important workouts towards your training. They serve as a way to improve your leg strength and the turnover speed of your legs. We will run 5-8 hill repeats of 90-100 seconds each. If it is you first hill workout, start on the low end of time and of occurrences. Here is the planned schedule:
- 10-15 minute easy warm up
- 5-8 Hill repeats (85% effort with a slow jog down the hill)
- 10 minute cool down
- Don't forget to bring your fluids!

ReplyDeleteI am new to Rocky Mount and enjoy running. I am participating in the 1/2 marathon in VA Beach in Sept. A couple of people referred me to this site, I am interested in running occassionally with the group-espacially Sat. This Sat. how far is the run, wherew does everyone meet. Thank You

Derek, welcome to Rocky Mount. We meet at 6:30 on Saturdays. Normally at the Harris Teeter. THis Saturday we have a 9 mile route and a 13 mile route. You are welcome to join us. You will see a RSVP post by Friday with details of the run.
