- Solution/Drill: Finger tip drag
- Problem: Weak kick
- Solution/Drill: Point toes, shorten kick length, increase cadence
- Problem: Wiggling hips
- Solution/Drill: 3-6-3 drill (six kicks on one side, three strokes, six kicks on other side)
- Problem: Sinking hips
- Solution/Drill: Lower head position in water
