Bored, injured, or just want to try something new?

Give the Harrison YMCA Masters Swim Program a try. Yvonne, Mary, and Margaret will whip you into swim shape in no time. At a meager $15 per month for Y members, you can’t beat the price (auto-withdrawal option is available). Here are some common swim technique flaws and solutions the coaches will use to make you more efficient in the water. . .
  • Problem: Straight arm recovery
  • Solution/Drill: Finger tip drag
  • Problem: Weak kick
  • Solution/Drill: Point toes, shorten kick length, increase cadence
  • Problem: Wiggling hips
  • Solution/Drill: 3-6-3 drill (six kicks on one side, three strokes, six kicks on other side)
  • Problem: Sinking hips
  • Solution/Drill: Lower head position in water
If you want to swim like this - www.swimsmooth.com - spend some time with the Harrison YMCA Masters Swim Program. Sessions last one hour and are currently held at 6 a.m. Monday and Wednesday, as well as noon on Tuesday and Thursday.

Okay, so I am not proficient at making blog posts like my husband. Please bear with me! After three attempts to format this post appropriately, this is what I ended up with. But the information is still great! So, please overlook my formatting flaws. Please. :-)
