RUN RSVP: Sunday 10/26 ***UPDATED***

The weather is going to keep most people away on Saturday morning, so we are going to do a group run on Sunday instead. We will meet at Sunset Park by the Tennis Courts, and run the half marathon course. I will post routes tomorrow that have a shorter variation of the half course for those who want to do less. This will be an afternoon run, and I will have fluids at the halfway point (where we start). There are also water fountains on the trails.

Run Details:

  • Where: Sunday, 1:15 am @ Sunset Park
  • Supported: Yes - Fluids and GUs at Start/Finish/Halfway
  • Weather: Forecast
  • Routes: 11 Miles; 13.1 Miles

Please RSVP if you are coming with your pace. I am always happy to see people even when they don't RSVP, but it does make the setup much easier for me. The first eight comments were related to a Saturday run. don't be confused when you look at them. Hope to see lots of you out there on Sunday!

Tracy P. and I will run c. 9:30am Saturday unless it is raining. Rain delay will take us to Saturday afternoon. Mary W. may join us in the afternoon. So we are watching the weather. We plan to run 6-7 miles at 9:15-9:30 pace. Kinnie

    Sunday afternoon works for me.

If people are interested we can do a Chicos run at 1:15 pm. The weather will be nice, and people can still get to church.

Jeff does that work for you?

If others are interested, I can post a route, and have fluids. We may want to start closer to the half marathon starting line (park my the tennis courts instead of Chicos)

    Thoughts?

Routes are posted. If you want to do less than 11, you can skip the part where we run down Falls/Peachtree. I think this will drop off a little over a mile.

I really would like to run the half course and make my first group run. Saturday's weather has gotten me really behind. I will try my best to be there. Whatever pace, follow the leader, don't know the course. Brian

  19. Wow! What an absolutely gorgeous day for an afternoon run. We had a great turn out and beautiful weather. Michael commented that he may try to schedule an afternoon group run once a month. I really enjoyed it.
