Run Details:
- Where: Saturday, 6:00 am @ Harris Teeter
- Supported: Yes
- Weather: Forecast
- Route: 5 mile; 10 mile; 16 mile
I am hopeful you can see these maps when you click the links. The 5-mile route is an out-and-back. You will run 2.5 miles to my house where there are fluids, and then take the same route back to the Teeter. Let us know what distance and what pace you plan to run, so people know if they have a running partner. If you are doing the 16, bring a few bucks. We can pick up a Gatorade at the YMCA.
I'll be there for 10 8:45 to 9:00 pace. I had to sit out last Saturday with a foot problem; might do 16 depending on how my foot feels.
ReplyDelete2morrow is the 26th
ReplyDeletei am in. distance yet to be determined, will decide around 7:30am.

All: If you are unsure about doing 16 miles, there are several ways to shorten it:
ReplyDelete1) Come directly back after Sunset Lake
2) Turn around at Peachtree by Battle Park and head back
3)Turn around when we go under 301 on the trails and go back.
I'll be there for 5. At my snail's pace of 12+ :)
ReplyDeleteI'm there for 10+.
ReplyDeleteTampa's working tomorrow morning, but I'll be there for 10+ at a 9:00pace.
ReplyDeleteI plan to be there for 8+ ... 9:45 pace.

I have typed up the directions for the 16 mile run from Harris Teeter tomorrow. I'll be glad to email them to anyone who would like a copy. Just send email request to tampanc@suddenlink.net.
ReplyDeleteI'll be there. I'll be doing the run-walk thing for about 6-7 miles at an avg 10 min pace.
ReplyDeleteI may show up :) depending on what time I get out of work tonight!!! Im shooting for 8-10, more than likely 8. I may bring a friend!!!

oh ....pace is well ..uh,,not sure depends on how I feel.
I am planning to be there for 16 at whatever pace someone is willing to run it with me!!
ReplyDeleteHi everyone! I'll be a new face tomorrow morning--for some, at least. I'm training for the NYC marathon and will run 8ish miles at a 10ish min pace. Looking forward to it!

Wow! Looks like we are going to have a great turn out. The women may even outnumber the men.
ReplyDeleteIf people are looking for less than 10, there are a few options.
1) On West Mount, don't turn left on Emerson at 4.6. Keep going straight, and you can cut a small amount.
2)On Bethlehem, don't turn left on Ridgewood Rd at 6.4. Continue down Bethlehem. This will make you miss the fluid stop at my house, but will cut about half a mile.
Do review the map and directions closely if you are new to these roads. You will notice that the Spring Forest Road appears to end on the map, but it now cuts all the way through and meets up with Alby.
These are actually great routes to run, but they are big loops, so I don't want anyone getting lost.
Looking forward to meeting you Beth, and am glad to hear Tracy is back out on the roads too! Who is this Ursula chick that is coming?
Will try for 10....

Fun run today, it was nice to see familar faces again. It has been too long since I have run with the group! I had a great time and am sure that I will feel it later today! Ursula and Bth, great conversation today!!! It was fun to catch up. Thanks to Ursula for my memory book from the Disney trip we "girls" took in January. I cant believe it has already been 6 months ago!
