Looking to make a beach trip and get in a race? Consider the Historic Beaufort Road Race this weekend. This will be the 29th running of the 5k and 10k races that draw over 600 runners and walkers annually. There is also a 1 mile race, and even a baby jogger division in the 5k (last year's winner ran a 6:13 pace with a baby jogger). The online registration is closed, but you can still register at the event.
I added some other events in the races links to the right, including the Patrick Henry Half Marathon and the Cross Country Festival at Maymont Park. Both events are in Virgina, but the are reasonably priced, well run, and not too far to drive. If you have other events you would like to see added, let me know.
