Good luck runners!

Last week several of you ran at the Crystal Coast Half Marathon, and the racing continues this weekend. A healthy Steve will challenge the marathon distance again at the Shamrock, expecting to crush the time he produced on a bum leg in Richmond. Loyal Tampa will be there as well, running the half marathon.

Closer to home, Jason is running in the Run for the Oaks 5k in Raleigh. This race is Saturday at 9:30 a.m. for anyone else who is interested.

Lastly, Frank is running in the inaugural Rocky Mount Marathon tomorrow. That's right, Frank will take his trusty GPS and run in and around Rocky Mount for 26.2 miles. I am hoping we can share some of the roads with him on our Saturday run. I fully expect Frank to not only win his age group, but also to win the enitre race.

Good luck everyone!

godd luck to all runners this weekend.

Frank--I expect nothing less than victory on your part. I know you can win it!!! Where is the finish line and projected time? I can't run with the group in the a.m. but would love to be there at the finish.

Someone needs to meet Frank at the finish to provide him with his beer...we wouldn't want to break tradition!

Someone call the police and let them know its okay for some old man to be "running" all over town drinking warm beer and singing the theme to Rocky or better yet "glory days".

Leaving HT at 7:30 or so, so I'm figuring the finish line will be along there somewhere! Expect 5:15 to 5:30 . . . so 12:45 to 1:00 (unless I decide to stop somewhere for lunch assuming I have a good lead!) The extra bonus of finishing at HT is cold beer! I'm feeling strong so I'm thinking I have a pretty good chance at winning this thing . . . not bragging or anything!!

Just in case you were wondering. Steve and Tampa did not run the Shamrock races. I had my information incorrect. Sorry for any confusion.
