This is a small race hosted by the Mangum Track Club. Ironically, it was Franks first marathon in North Carolina, so it counted as one more state in the Triple-F USA Tour. As Frank is known to do, he made friends on the run, and helped to pace two first timers. One had to pull out at mile ten with an injury, but Frank lead the other on to the finish line finishing in 5:30:53. Certainly not Frank's fastest, but a challenging course, plus helping a fellow runner to finish their first was a great reward. Counting Rocky Mount, this is marathon number four for Frank. Great job Triple-F!
2008 Race Results: I finally updated the 2008 race results this weekend. I expect I have missed several races, and may have a mistake or two, so take a look, and let me know if I need to make changes. Look under "Quick Links" to the right. Don't be shy, we want to know how you are doing. It is not bragging. Your times (good or bad) often serve as motivation for others.
Let's emphasize that this is Frank's 4th marathon in 2008 -- 4 marathons in 3 months. AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteNice job, F3 !
