Where is Frank?

Frank is in Mobile, Alabama this week on business, and decided to look for a race while he was traveling. Turns out that the Bank Trust First Light Marathon is going on this Saturday, so Frank signed up about a month ago and ramped up his training miles.

This really is a great looking race with a scenic course. Proceeds go to benefit L'Arche Mobile, an international federation of communities in which people with a mental handicapped and those who help them can live, work, and share their lives together. Many of the mentally handicapped men and women create the awards for the race, making them unique, and something that will always be cherished. I think Frank found a real gem of a marathon when he picked this one. Good luck Frank!

I will directing traffic at Dauphin Street and Kirby Street the morning of the race. I will wave to Frank (if I know when he passes).

And yes, the race benefits a great organization here in Mobile. Thanks for mentioning the race and L'Arche.

    Gook luck to Frank.

    Michael,
I have a number of Google Alerts setup and one of those is for the word "L'Arche." When that word appeared in your blog, I got an update from Google Alerts in my email.

I hope we have good weather Sunday for the marathon and all the racers have a good day.

Just checked the map and see that is at maybe 5-7 miles.

I'll look for you Charles . . . at least one person on the course whose name I'll know!

    Good Luck, Frank.

They tell me I will be easy to spot at Dauphin and Kirby since I will most likely be the only one at that intersection.

You might not be as easy to spot since I don't know your race number, but I will keep the cars away.

Contrary to Frank's prediction he was not last, when he passed my intersection.

Good to meet you, Frank, and I hope you had a good race.
