Wilmington YMCA Tri Race Results

Jeff and Dave continued their tour of North Carolina triathlons this weekend in Wilmington. Both participated in the sprint triathlon event. The race consisted of a 1500 meter swim (with the current), a 20k bike ride, and finished with a 5k run.

Jeff placed 4th in the Novice Division, and 191st over all. His running skills shined through by running the 53rd fastest time. Dave placed 1st in the Novice Masters, and 195 overall finishing just 10 seconds behind Jeff. Dave had the fastest bike and run times of all Novice Masters.

Overall times were 1:23:54 for Jeff, and 1:24:04 for Dave. Their splits were as follows:

• Jeff - Swim: 23:38, Bike: 36:55, Run: 20:13
• Dave - Swim: 24:30, Bike: 35:15, Run: 21:11

Lake Royale Triathlon: Don't forget, that lots of RMEC members are participating in the Lake Royale Triathlon in two weeks. This one is just a short drive away. Jeff, Dave, Mary, Carol and Tim are all participating. If you are in town on the 13th, try to support them at the race!
