The Sweetheart 5k is now over 120 registered runners, and they still expect at least 250 by race day! So far there are about 20 teams entered, but the majority are individual race entries. Please continue to encourage people to register for the event. Remember this is a 5k and 1-mile Fun Run. It is a great opportunity to get a non-runners excited about trying something new and healthy. Walkers are welcome to participate.
The shirts and medals have been ordered. Click on the images below for a sneak peak of what's coming. Women get a pink shirt, men red, and Fun Run participants get a black shirt. Also, don't forget that all Fun Run Finisher's under 10 get a special award!
We are still assembling the Couple's awards for combine age group categories. If you or your company would like to contribute to the "gift basket" please email Lynn Driver at Parks and Rec and let him know ASAP. We will have seven total baskets to give out, so what ever is given we need seven of. Thanks!
