The Peak to Creek Marathon is open for a lottery registration. This race takes 400 runners, and is a popular down hill, scenic, soft-surface, and fast North Carolina marathon. At the time of this post less than 300 runners are in the lottery, so odds are great right now. I would love to see the RMEC get a big group for a fall marathon again. This is a great race to give it a try.

It's a great, low key, fast course if you can control yourself on the downhill. I've run it twice and would highly recommend it.

ReplyDeleteThe downhill is not all that steep, it is just constant with a lot of twists and turns. It will work your quads quite a bit.
