The documentary Spirit of the Marathon will be released on DVD on October 7th, 2008. You can sign up for the pre purchase starting on Monday. Pre-orders will be signed by the director. You can find more at the official movie site.If you are not familiar with this movie, it follows multiple marthons as they prepare for the 2006 Chicago Marathon. The follow elites, and first timers in what is one the the closest finishes in marathon history. Patti had a chance to see it last year at the Chicago film festival and gave it race reviews.

I WILL definitely be getting this movie!!! And for all of you Chicago runners it is a MUST see. (along with everybody, else, of course) I will be happy to host a pre-Chicago movie/pasta night for anybody interested!!!
