Although the race is growing larger every year, you do not have to fight the crowds of runners like you do in the Marine Corp Marathon. The race starts at RFK, which has ample parking, so you do not need to worry about taking a shuttle or riding the Metro.
If anyone else is interested, let us know. We can carpool and split some hotel rooms. The half is a great training race if you are doing any spring marathons.
Patti and I plan to be in D/C that weekend vising family and have tossed around running this event. No firm plans yet, but a possibility.

Jeff, Patti, Dave, Michael, Frank. . . that puts us at five.
ReplyDeleteI think Doug S. and his son are running too, which would be seven.
Kevin and Gerry, any interest? We could make it a reunion run from the first National trip. I promise not to book any hotel rooms for you.
No can do..wedding shower
ReplyDeleteLooks like Doug is on call, and his son is injured. . . back down to a potential group of five.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited! This may be my chance to beat every RMEC member in a marathon!!!
ReplyDeleteFrank
At this point I don't plan to run this, I will probably be so out of shape by this time I could barely make a 5k! I will be there in spirit cheering you on.
