Relay for Life Reminders

It is hard to believe, but the Relay for Life is this Friday and Saturday. As a reminder the RMEC will have our normal Saturday run leaving from the YMCA and running to the track where the event is being held.

It is not too late to join the team.

In fact, I would love to see another dozen RMEC members sign up this week. It is simple. Follow the link at the top of the page, and click the "Join Our Team" link. Even if you only give $15 to yourself. . . it still helps. Even better, email 10 friends, and ask them to give you $10. I will bet you will have $50 raised before you know it. Please help the RMEC make a good showing at the event.

Shirt Pickup: Eric wanted me to remind everyone that the Relay for Life T-shirt pick-up and bank night is at Englewood Baptist Church on Tuesday evening from 5-7.

The RMEC team has already raised $3,125. Make this week count! Don't give up on your fund raising, and don't give up recruiting more people for the team.

If you are an RMEC member, and are in town this Saturday. JOIN US!

  2. Just got the email from Eric Pate:

The Relay for Life is only days away! Attached is what I have put together
for track times based on correspondence and conversations. If this doesn't work for anyone, please let me know. I will be at the site setting up before noon on Friday. If you have any larger items to get to the campsite you need to have them there by 4:30 pm. If you need me to set anything up for you, please let me know and I will make arrangements to get the items from you prior to Friday. I plan on setting up a small canopy tent with a few tables. We may need more chairs if anyone has any light folding chairs.

It's time to get creative. Please feel free to bring any decorations or
event related items to help decorate the site. If you have someone special
who was touched by cancer that you want to remember please feel free to
bring a photo or make a poster in their honor. This event is about
remembering those who have been touched by cancer and about reducing the number of people that will be effected in the future. The theme color is purple, but that is not prohibitive, get creative. You can come out to the site anytime Friday after 10 am to decorate if you want.

T-shirt pick-up and bank night is Tuesday evening at Englewood Baptist
    Church starting at 5:00 pm.

Thanks to all for your help and support.

    Eric,
What is "Bank Night". I have some people that for some reason think I am collecting the money rather than them going on line and donating. Can I collect money and turn it in at "Bank Night"?

Eric, I'm not working in Rocky Mt today. I'm in Raleigh. Are we supposed to come by and pick up t-shirts?
