RMEC Meeting

I was trying to pull off a meeting this week to discuss the future of the RMEC, but Wednesday is the only day I can do it, and I will not be ready in time for tomorrow. Lets plan to have a meeting next Wednesday 03/19 at 5:20ish. I am trying to determine a place to meet. It will somewhat depend on how many people plan to come.

As a reminder, what I want to discuss is making the RMEC part of the Road Runner Club of America (RRCA). This gives us the ability to do more with our club such as:
  • Host local races
  • Create Training Teams
  • Have Liability Insurance
  • etc.
This is not a final decision, which is why I want to have a meeting. To become a member of the RRCA we need to have bylays and officers. It sounds scary, but it is really not. The bottom line, is I don't want to see the RMEC change how we operate today, and joining RRCA should not change things. If we handle it right, it will open up more doors for the RMEC to have a bigger impact on the Rocky Mount community.

    I REALLY want to be there but I can not come on wednesday's. I do fully support it though and would like to be kept informed of the discussion(s).

    I will try to be there, whenever or wherever it may be. May I suggest the Y, I go there in the afternoon and this suggestion makes me selfish but I just wanted to throw it out there

    i have to work as a taxi driver for the first part of the afternoon (ya know for the kids) and then a nurse in the evening so I wont be able to come, but please post the information so I can read it. thanks Tracy Hicks
