RUN RSVP: Saturday 01/19

Another recovery weekend for those training for Myrtle, so the run is shorter. I am trying to break the monotony a bit, and will start the run at Sunset Park instead. I figured we could do the half marathon course. It is easy to cut short for anyone who is looking for less miles.

Run Details:

  • Day: Saturday @ 7:30 am
  • Where: Sunset Park (by Tennis Courts)
  • Route: 13 miles or 5.6 miles (just the first loop)
  • Supported: TBD
  • Weather: Forecast 37F at start and finish.
The weather is a gamble tomorrow. They are calling for a rain/snow mix. Not ideal running conditions, but if you dress properly it will not be bad. If there are others that plan to run, I can bring fluids for the half way point (where we start). If you don't knwo the route, print the directions.

Please use the comments to RSVP. If I do not see anyone else sign up, I will likely run elsewhere or at another time. I am open to suggestions. The afternoon has rain in the forecast still, but not as much. Sunday is not wet, but it is bitter cold (24F) in the morning. Thanks!

With no responses so far I am not expecting anyone right now. I know Gerry and Kevin ran today.

Scott and I will run rain or shine, but may meeet somewhere else and start a little earlier. So if anyone is planning to run tomorrow, reply ASAP so we can work out the details.

I'll run the 13 mile route from Sunset Park if there are others interested.

I should have said I'll run the 13 mile route if there are other 9:30-10:00 pace runners interested.

Michael - I assume instead of powerade you are providing a hot chocolate stop?

  12. I'll be there. The best time to run is when no one else expects you to, you can feel superior all day....

Also milking the 42.4 miles and plan to do so for awhile. Time to take time off from running and let my legs rest - I need to recover! However, I plan to start swimming soon. And I plan to cheer at Myrtle Beach. Have fun running.

Great run guys (and I stress the word guys). Rain and cold could not keep people away.

We had Russ, Ryan, Scott, Michael, Derek, Tom, Arthur, Cliff, and Larry. Not to shabby to have eight people for a run in the rain!
